The Azkena Rock Festival will mark its 25th anniversary on June 17, 18, and 19, 2027, at the Mendizabala venue in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The festival will feature three pivotal names in rock history as headliners: Patti Smith, Bad Religion, and Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, who will perform on a unique date in Spain. They will be joined by Marilyn Manson and Wilco.
The full lineup will bring together nearly 60 artists, blending classic rock, hard rock, and punk with grunge, stoner, and heavy metal, alongside garage rock, noise, indie rock, glam, country, blues, and folk music. Patti Smith Quartet will celebrate their career, Bad Religion will present over four decades of punk, and Slash will return with his signature riffs. Marilyn Manson will unleash his dark and theatrical side, while Wilco will bring their mastery of alternative rock and American art-country.
The festival's roots will also be highlighted, with returns from bands like The Waterboys, 16 Horsepower, Dave Alvin & The Guilty Ones, Super 400, Old 97’s, and American Aquarium. Additionally, John Garcia (original vocalist of Kyuss), Billy Bragg, Beth Hart, Rival Sons, and The Southern River Band are set to perform.
In the punk and distorted frequencies realm, performances will include Michael Monroe (Hanoi Rocks), Billy Talent, The Drones, Cockney Rejects, The Bevis Frond, Girls Against Boys, and Foxy Shazam. The Basque scene will be represented by local acts such as The Clayton, BARRRK, and Marte Lasarte.
The festival introduces the new Trashville Allstars & Friends tent, dedicated to primitive and unpredictable rock, and the rustic Strawhouse stage, focusing on acoustic roots music in folk, country, and blues, featuring artists like Nick Lowe, Dave Hause, and Lilly Hiatt.
Exclusive discounted sales for previous edition attendees are now open, alongside general sales at promotional prices. The Bono Gaztea (for under-24s) and Bono Cuadrilla (for groups) are also available. Admission will be free for children under 14.
