The Vitoria-Gasteiz Municipal Band is launching its summer concert series, offering a total of ten performances between May 29 and September 11.

The summer cycle, titled 'Music in the Open Air', will tour various city neighborhoods, primarily taking place at the Jardín Secreto del Agua, but also reaching Arana, San Martín, and Lakua-Arriaga.
As a new feature this year, the cycle will include guest conductors for the first time: composer Eduardo Moreno and conductor Irune Martínez de Santos, joining the regular conductors Luis Orduña and Iker Olazabal.
The cycle commenced on May 29 at the Jardín Secreto del Agua with the closing concert of the 'Poetas en Mayo' festival. On June 5, the concert 'De la tierra al horizonte' will premiere the new work 'Molontxo' by Eneko Azparren, in tribute to the late musician Sergio Gastaminza.
On June 12, the San Martín neighborhood will host a varied repertoire including pasodobles, film scores, and Basque music. On June 19, Lakua-Arriaga will feature 'Sonidos compartidos' alongside the collective Kalimba.
In July, on the 3rd, guest conductor Eduardo Moreno will lead the monographic concert '100% Eduardo Moreno'. On July 17, guest conductor Irune Martínez de Santos will direct 'Blue night - Noche azul' as part of the Vitoria-Gasteiz Jazz Festival.
After a break in August, the cycle will resume on September 4 with 'Sintonías de nuestra vida', and will conclude the season on September 11 with 'Paisajes para banda', both at the Jardín Secreto del Agua.
