Special cleaning teams from the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council's Environmental Management department are focusing this week on streets and public spaces in the city center and El Ensanche following the La Blanca festival. The special operation will run from Monday to Friday, utilizing equipment such as sweeping teams, high-pressure cleaning, hydro-cleaners, manual sweeping, and a floor stripper.
On Monday, the work will concentrate on Prado, Diputación, Vicente Goicoechea streets, and the Plaza de la Provincia. High-pressure cleaning will be used to remove embedded dirt from the pavement, supplemented by manual sweeping in areas requiring more intensive action, along with special detergents and deodorizers.
On Tuesday, the operation will move to Paseo de la Senda, Cadena y Eleta, and the streets of Florida and San Francisco. Similar to the previous days, the same personnel and technical teams will be deployed for cleaning these areas.
On Wednesday, teams will work on Portal del Rey and continue along San Antonio street, as well as sections of Florida and Manuel Iradier streets. Thursday is dedicated to cleaning Manuel Iradier, Fueros, and Rioja streets. The week will conclude with cleaning operations on Florida, Ortiz de Zárate, Pío XII, and Arka streets.
For the week of August 24th, the special operation will focus on Las Escuelas, Santa María, and Fray Zacarías streets on Monday. On Tuesday, activities will concentrate on the San Prudencio axis and Fueros street and Los Fueros square, leaving the sidewalks and spaces of Independencia, La Paz, Olaguíbel, and the squares of María Sarmiento and Desamparados for Wednesday.
On Thursday the 27th, the area of Los Arquillos, Plaza del Machete, Mateo Moraza along with Abrevadero, Torno streets, and the ascent of Fueros will be cleaned. To conclude the week, operators and machinery will focus on Plaza de Santa Bárbara, the section of Postas street, and Plaza Lehendakari Leizaola.
