Google has launched a new feature in Spain allowing users to customize their news feed by selecting trusted sources for greater prominence in search results.

Google has begun activating a new option in Spain to personalize the news that appears in its search engine. This feature allows users to select trusted media outlets to give them greater presence in the 'Featured News' section.
This way, those who follow the news from Vitoria-Gasteiz and Álava can indicate to Google to prioritize information published by GasteizBerri when they perform searches related to news, municipal politics, events, culture, mobility, or local current affairs.
The adjustment can be made from both mobile phones and computers and takes only a few seconds.
How to activate it: First, search for any current affairs topic on Google. Then, locate the 'Featured News' block that appears among the results. On the right side of the block, you will see a small icon to customize sources.
Clicking the icon will open a window called 'Choose your preferred sources.' There, you must type 'GasteizBerri.com' into the search bar. When the outlet appears in the list, select it by marking the checkbox on the right. Finally, click 'Reload results' to save the change.
From that moment on, Google will take this preference into account and may show news from GasteizBerri more frequently in the current affairs section.
