Zarautz was not only the personal second home of the political figure but also one of their political homes. It was one of the strongholds of the party they founded, where they managed to govern for many years. There, where they maintained their home, residents remember all the summers spent, with friends and party colleagues, how they would go down to the beach or be seen at the fronton.

According to the party coordinator in the town, the political figure had been in delicate health recently, as age takes its toll. However, for him and for all those who were part of the party in Zarautz, they were always an upright politician, a great reference, a politician of stature, and an example for everyone.

After decades of great political strength in the town, where the party annually held its political year-opening rally with the figure's participation, the formation, now integrated into a coalition, no longer has political activity. Nevertheless, the local party representative affirms that the political figure remained true to their ideas until the end, which is commendable. Undoubtedly, it is a great loss.

The party had significant historical weight in Zarautz, with a main political figure holding the mayoralty for six legislative terms. After these mandates, other figures took over, and the party governed in Zarautz for more than two decades.
