The Getaria City Council will present the advance of its General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU) on Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the town hall's plenary hall, encouraging citizen participation.

The Getaria City Council has organized an open event for this Tuesday, starting at 6:30 PM, to present the advance of the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU). The presentation will take place in the plenary hall of the town hall, and citizens are invited to attend, as was done with the Diagnosis on December 18, 2025.
Architect Santiago Peñalba, who is working on the PGOU, will be responsible for explaining the details of the first proposal. Additionally, from May 6 onwards, informative panels outlining the main keys of the document will be displayed at the entrance of the town hall, ensuring citizens have access to the information.
Through this process, the Getaria City Council aims to update the 2008 regulations to adapt them to current needs and future challenges, with the main objective of developing a unified vision for the future of the entire locality. To this end, the situation of the municipality has been analyzed, identifying problems, opportunities, and priorities, and defining the direction for Getaria for the next 15 years.
The work carried out is in the discussion phase, and the Council's objective is to improve the document and establish priorities with the contributions of the citizens. Therefore, residents are encouraged to attend the presentation and participate in the dialogue, actively contributing to the development of the plan.
