The rowers from Orio Arraunketa Elkartea are prepared to start the league. This year, the season will commence in the town of Buitrago de Lozoya, within the Community of Madrid, on June 28. The organizers have already released the official lists of rowers.
The men's team, competing in the Eusko Label Liga, will once again be led by Iker Zabala from Bermeo. The squad comprises 22 rowers, including the coxswain, with nine hailing from the youth system: seven from Orio and two from Aia. Gorka Aranberri from Zarautz will serve as the coxswain.
The women's team, participating in the Euskotren Liga, will be coached this year by Xanti Zabaleta, following a ten-year hiatus. The team consists of 21 rowers, eight of whom are from the youth system: six from Orio, and one each from Zarautz and Aia. Maider Echaniz from Oiartzun will be the coxswain.
The regatta will be held in a team time trial format at the Riosequillo reservoir. The men will have to complete 6 lengths and 5 turns, while the women will undertake 4 lengths and 3 turns.
