The first stage of the Itzulia will pass through Azpeitia this Friday

The cycling race will cause intermittent traffic disruptions at several points in the Urola Kosta region.

The first stage of the Itzulia takes place this Friday, starting and finishing in Zarautz, passing through Azpeitia and surrounding towns during the morning hours.

The peloton will depart from Zarautz at 10:00 AM, traveling along the coast through Getaria, Zumaia, and Itziar. The arrival in Azpeitia, via Loiola, is scheduled for 11:42 AM.
After crossing Azpeitia, the cyclists will head towards Urrestilla, Beizama, Bidania-Goiatz, and Errezil. The stage will conclude in Zarautz around 1:30 PM after climbing the Garate pass.
The Basque Government's Traffic Directorate has warned that 30-minute traffic cuts will be implemented along the route. Traffic will return to normal after the passage of the Ertzaintza motorcycles identified with green flags.
The most significant disruptions are expected on the GI-631, GI-2635, and GI-3720 roads starting from 11:00 AM.
