Firstly, the tender for improvement works at Iturzaeta school has been initiated. This project has a base budget of 157,964.29 euros (VAT included), and the awarded contractor must complete the works within a maximum period of eight weeks, during the summer, when students are not at school. The details of the works have been drafted by a technical architect.

Among the planned interventions are facade works, improvements to balconies, adaptation of downpipes, renovation of several doors, staircase repairs, and the installation of a Velux window. Furthermore, the Town Council has financed these works through an agreement with the Basque Government, securing 60% funding. The aim is to update and adapt the educational center's facilities to make the spaces more comfortable, safe, and suitable for students and teachers.

On the other hand, the tender for installing an ice cream stand at Malkorbe beach has also been issued. This initiative seeks to offer a complementary service on the beach during the summer season, enhancing the user experience and enriching the leisure area. One of the main novelties of the tender concerns the design of the kiosks: wood will be prioritized, but other materials will be accepted if they meet municipal aesthetic criteria, such as wood imitation, avoiding advertising or striking colors to ensure an image consistent with the environment.

Clear and decisive priority criteria have also been established for evaluating the offers participating in the tender, with the aim of promoting local production and quality craftsmanship. In this regard, three groups have been differentiated: companies selling artisanal ice creams produced in Getaria, companies producing artisanal ice creams, and other companies.
