Zarautz is set to host the 38th edition of the Udako Musikaldia festival, commencing this Thursday, August 6th, at the Santa Klara convent. The festival aims to showcase the breadth of classical music through four concerts in August, with the inaugural event starting at 8:30 PM.
The opening chamber concert will feature violinist Julian Kainrath and pianist Anton Gerzenberg. They will present a unique repertoire for violin, including Franck's Sonata and Grieg's Sonata 3.
Tickets, priced at €4.25, are available for purchase from July 24th at the Cine Modelo box office and via the Kutxabank platform. Early booking is advised due to anticipated demand.
The second concert, scheduled for August 13th, will be performed by the ensemble Vivalma, titled 'Danser, Ballare...'. The group includes Marta Ramírez García-Mina (baroque violin), Marina Cabello del Castillo (viola da gamba), and Eloy Orzaiz Galarza (harpsichord).
The organization's objective is to offer classical music in its full scope.
Vivalma, which participated in the 'Jóvenes Intérpretes' cycle of the Juan March Foundation in 2017, has performed at various festivals. Their program will focus on instrumental baroque repertoire, with the first part, 'Danser', featuring dance suites by composers like Rameau and Couperin, and the second part, 'Ballare', exploring Italian dance.
