The 21st season of the popular Egunean Behin game is set to begin on Monday, introducing a significant new feature: a competition among local Basque-language media outlets. Tokikom, a network comprising 69 Basque media organizations, will be the main sponsor for this season, leading to the creation of the Tokikom League.
The new season will run from Monday until July 12. In this league, each media outlet will form a team, and participants will answer ten daily questions, following the game's usual format. The unique aspect is that, week by week, the points accumulated by each team's members will be tallied to create a ranking among the participating media outlets.
Ten media outlets will participate in this Tokikom League: 28 Kanala, Aiurri, Anboto, Arabako Alea, Barrena, GiTB, Goiena, Guaixe, Hiruka, and Guka. Guka will be responsible for announcing the league's standings every Monday.
Participants joining the Guka-Urola Kosta team will have the chance to win various prizes. Weekly draws will include Guka products and a digital subscription to one of its media outlets. Furthermore, after nine weeks, the individual leading the Guka-Urola Kosta team's ranking will win a meal for two at the Elkano restaurant in Getaria. Guka will publish the weekly winners on its six websites, and the overall season winner will be announced on July 13.
