The project aims to establish the park as a key green space within the urban area. The intervention focuses on preserving existing trees while planting 48 new species, and creating permeable surfaces to support the natural water cycle.
The design process involved the Zumaia Children's Council, ensuring the play areas meet the needs of younger residents. The park will feature natural play zones, picnic areas, a large meadow, rain gardens, and paths for both pedestrians and cyclists.
The construction work has been awarded to a specialized firm. This project is part of a broader municipal plan to progressively upgrade all playgrounds in the town, aiming to provide high-quality public spaces for the entire community.
