In Zestoa, this Friday, August 14th, the Dutch orchestra Holiday Orchestra Ad Hoc will perform at 7:00 PM in the old fronton of Zestoa. The orchestra was founded in 1988 and consists of 65 professional and amateur musicians, with an average age of 26. They gather annually for ten days to tour Europe.
Separately, in Aizarna, the festivals in honor of the Virgin will be celebrated from Friday, August 14th, to the 17th. Over these four days, music, sports, traditional games, and meals will be the main attractions.
On Friday, August 14th, the festivities will begin at 6:00 PM with the 'chupinazo' (opening announcement), followed by a 'karropoteo' (a pub crawl with drinks) and a communal dinner. In the evening, the group Obaneuke and DJ Patx will perform.
On Saturday, August 15th, the program includes the High Mass, a mid-morning snack for retirees, pelota matches, traditional sports, and a performance by the group Bost Axola. In the evening, there will be bingo and DJs to liven up the party.
On Sunday, August 16th, the day will start early with the 'oilasko-biltzea' (chicken collection), followed by a children's cross-country race and a tasting event for the chicken collectors. In the evening, the group Laket will play, and DJ Costmix will follow.
Finally, on Monday, August 17th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, there will be 'Kalaka' Wooden Plaza Games. A children's lunch will be held, and in the afternoon, a ginkana (obstacle race). The final event will be at 7:00 PM with DJ Ostoren.
The festivals of the Virgin of Aizarna will offer activities for all ages and tastes, combining tradition, sports, music, and a festive atmosphere.
Additionally, the Laiak store has organized the V. Wine Game ('Ardo Jolasa') from August 17th to September 3rd, a competition to identify wines tasted blind.
