The Mancomunidad of Uribe Kosta has opened the application period for social emergency aid, targeting individuals and families facing economic hardship.

These aids are intended for individuals and families in difficult economic situations to help them cover essential expenses, both ordinary and extraordinary. They can be used for purposes such as paying rent, mortgages, utilities, food, basic furniture, or health treatments not covered by public systems.
This year, the Mancomunidad will manage 525,445 euros, funded by an allocation from the Basque Government. These aids are not periodic benefits but rather grants to address specific needs.
Applications can be submitted in two ways: in person at the Social Services offices of the registered municipality (Barrika, Berango, Gorliz, Lemoiz, Plentzia, Sopela, or Urduliz), or electronically through the online portal of the Mancomunidad of Uribe Kosta.
Those applying for the first time will need to schedule an appointment in advance. For further information, interested parties can call 946 762 674, email cita@uribekosta.eus, or visit the Mancomunidad's headquarters at Gatzarriñe street, number 4 in Sopela, from Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 14:00.
The Mancomunidad reminds the public that the aim of these aids is to prevent social exclusion and ensure that all citizens have the opportunity to meet their basic needs, regardless of the municipality where they reside.
