Musikherria Festival in Tolosa to Feature Over 200 Musicians

The festival's twelfth edition boasts a stable program with invited groups including Moonshine Wagon, Les Incognitos, and Olloki.

Tolosa will be filled with music next Saturday, May 30th, for the twelfth edition of the Musikherria festival, bringing together over 200 musicians and several invited bands.

Tolosa, a town renowned for its strong connection to music, will host the twelfth edition of its Musikherria festival next Saturday, the 30th. The event is set to bring together over 200 musicians from 20 bands, filling the town's streets with music throughout the day.
The day will kick off at 10:00 AM with performances by dulzaina players and the group Giro Arte in the neighborhoods of Arramele, Amaroz, Belate, Izaskun, San Esteban, Iurre, and Berazubi, with the support of the txaranga Incansables. Following this, a parade will take place, featuring students from Tolosa's music schools, the municipal school Eduardo Mocoroa, the school Isidro Larrañaga, the Banda Municipal de Txistularis, the txaranga Konponezinak, and the guest group from Ustaritz, Uztaritzeko Herri Soinua.
At noon, starting at 12:00 PM, twelve musical groups will perform in four different locations. In the Old Town, Tolosa Kantari will present a musical tour. At López Mendizabal hall, bands Erromeria, The Konbix, Isi Jazz, and Garena will play. Euskal Herria square will host Garigabeak, Ostegunetan, and Diversity. Meanwhile, the Plaza Nueva will feature choirs Hodeiertz and Laskorain, alongside clarinetists from the municipal school Eduardo Mocoroa and the accordion orchestra from Isidro Larrañaga.
The festivities will continue at 2:30 PM with a popular lunch at El Tinglado, with proceeds going to the Zutani association. Tickets, priced at 15 euros for adults and 10 euros for those under 14, will be available for purchase at Orbela and Xirimiri bars.
The festival's afternoon program, starting at 6:00 PM, will feature three established bands. Les Incognitos, with 36 years of experience, will showcase their repertoire of ska, rock, and French pop. Later in the evening, starting at 10:30 PM in Euskal Herria square, Moonshine Wagon, known for their heavy-bluegrass style, and Olloki, who blend traditional music with modern sounds, will perform.
