Leaburu-Txarama: San Pedro Festivals Begin This Friday

Numerous events for children and adults, including dance, traditional sports, and bertsolari performances, will take place until Tuesday.

The San Pedro festivals in Leaburu-Txarama will commence this Friday afternoon with a children's talo workshop, extending until Tuesday with various activities.

The San Pedro festivals in Leaburu-Txarama begin this Friday and will run until Tuesday, offering a wide array of events including dance, traditional sports, and bertsolari performances.
On Friday afternoon, starting at 5:00 PM, the festivities will commence with a children's talo workshop. Following this, there will be a barrikote and sardine tasting, and at 10:30 PM, the dance group Oinargi and local dancers will perform. At midnight, a disco party will start.
On Saturday, the schedule includes a potato omelet competition (3:30 PM) and a mus tournament (4:00 PM). Additionally, a pintxo pote will be held from 8:00 PM onwards, preceding the town dinner. At midnight, Dj Jader will perform. For those wishing to attend, a special bus will run from Tolosa, departing at 11:30 PM and returning from Leaburu at 6:00 AM.
On Sunday, the day will begin with a foam party at noon, followed by a txakoli tasting. In the afternoon, there will be an exhibition of aizkolaris (log choppers) at 5:00 PM, and subsequently, a herri kirolak challenge, where young people from Leaburu and Albiztur will compete against each other. At 8:00 PM, a bertso session will take place with bertsolaris Amets Arzallus, Alaia Martin, Xabat Illarregi, and Nerea Ibarzabal, with Aimar Karrika as the moderator.
The festivals will conclude on Monday, San Pedro's day. At 11:00 AM, the High Mass will be celebrated, followed by a hamaiketako (refreshments). In the afternoon, a frontenis championship will be played from 4:00 PM onwards.
