The main square of Ibarra is buzzing with excitement this weekend for the Youth Festivals organized by the Youth Assembly. The festivities kicked off with the 4x4 Football Championship in the morning, followed by theatrical performances. These included humorous depictions of Ibarra being named Green Capital and the arrival of the Spanish King.
An extensive program has been prepared for the weekend. On Saturday, June 13th, after the morning's sporting events, cultural activities took center stage from midday. The dance group Alurr performed, followed by an opportunity to taste potato omelets and chocolate. In the afternoon, a "Barrikotea" (barbecue) and a concert by the band Las Moskas Trompeteras were held, leading into DJ Mali's performance at midnight.
Among the main evening events are a concert by the band Kaparrak and an intergenerational competition in the square. Meanwhile, the youth center will host a bingo game late into the night.
On Sunday, June 14th, the morning will feature breakfast and an event to cheer on the T3T runners. In the afternoon, a mus tournament will take place at the youth center, concluding the weekend's festivities.
