The association Zokorrak, the LGTBIQA+ movement of Agurain, and the region have organized a week filled with festive, cultural, and advocacy events to raise awareness of the community's reality and defend equality and freedom. The main event will take place on June 26th, "with the aim of making the town's spaces more open and just".
The program began on June 19th with a poster-making session and a social gathering. The schedule for June 26th kicks off at 5:00 PM in San Juan Square, featuring the 'De putivuelta' walk and a fanzine workshop. Following this, at 7:30 PM, a concentration will be held in the square, succeeded by a musical queer social gathering through the town's old quarter.
Through this program, we aim to make the community's reality visible and continue moving towards a society where all individuals can live with freedom, respect, and without fear of being who they are.
To conclude the day, at 10:00 PM, the singer UDDA from Gasteiz will perform live in Santa María Square. She will present her new single 'Non daude gure argiak', released in May.
This song stems from the queer community's advocacy, looking towards a community that has been in the shadows for many years. Through the question 'Where are our lights?', the song claims visibility, space, and pride, reigniting those lights they have tried to extinguish for a long time.
After the concert, it will be the turn of Zokorrak DJs.
