The marina in Lekeitio has been awarded the 'Best Marina 2025' distinction by the Navily platform, ranking it among the top 400 nautical facilities worldwide based on user feedback.

This achievement is based on high ratings from sailors who have praised the modern infrastructure managed by Euskadiko Kirol Portuak (EKP), as well as the quality of service provided to visitors.
The port currently offers ten berths specifically for transit vessels. Following 586 overnight stays last year, projections for 2026 suggest this figure will be matched or exceeded, with 55 foreign vessels already recorded since January.

"The distinction obtained by the port of Lekeitio is a recognition of the work EKP has been doing to offer modern, safe facilities and quality service."

Nautical tourism is a growing trend along the Basque coast. While the majority of transit berths are currently located in Gipuzkoa, the public entity has announced plans for further investments in Bizkaia to increase capacity and boost the tourism appeal of the entire coastline.
