An off-duty police officer apprehended a young man preparing drugs for sale in Barakaldo's Cruces neighborhood, leading to his arrest by local police.

Barakaldo Local Police have arrested a young man for alleged drug trafficking in the Andikollano area. The incident began when an off-duty Ertzaintza officer observed a young man handling, weighing, and distributing various narcotic substances, apparently preparing them for sale during the Cruces neighborhood festival.
The officer immediately alerted municipal police officers, who arrived at the scene shortly after. Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect fled on foot, discarding several narcotic substances during his escape. Thanks to the collaboration between the regional police officer and the Local Police, the man was intercepted and detained, subsequently being arrested.

"The rapid action and coordination between both police forces have made it possible to prevent the potential sale of narcotic substances during the Cruces festivities."
