Bizkaia experienced major traffic problems today due to two accidents: one in Barakaldo involving six vehicles, and another on the AP-8 in Galdakao between a car and a crane.

Traffic flow on Bizkaia's roads was severely impacted this morning by two significant road incidents. The most notable occurred in Barakaldo, near the Rontegi bridge, where six vehicles were involved in a collision. This event necessitated the closure of several lanes, leading to six-kilometer tailbacks towards Rontegi and four-kilometer queues towards La Avanzada, as both routes converge very close to the accident site.
Following this primary accident, another occurred near Loiu, causing a one-and-a-half-kilometer traffic jam in the direction of Barakaldo. Concurrently, on the AP-8 in Galdakao, heading towards San Sebastián, problems also arose. A collision between a car and a crane resulted in nearly three kilometers of traffic congestion.
Initially, this latter incident required the closure of one lane, though two lanes subsequently had to be shut down. According to information released by the Department of Security of the Basque Government, neither of these accidents resulted in any injuries.
