On Tuesday, April 28, a mobile unit of the National Police will be stationed in Sestao, an initiative managed by the Local Police (Udaltzaingoa). This will allow citizens to carry out procedures such as issuing or renewing their DNI and passport, as well as activating the electronic certificate of the DNI, without leaving the municipality.
The van will be located next to the Local Police station, operating from 09:00 to 13:30. It is expected to attend to five appointments every half hour to ensure the efficiency of the service.
The fees for these procedures are 12 euros for issuing or renewing the DNI and 30 euros for the passport. Payment must be made in cash on the day of the appointment. The electronic certificate update will be free of charge. Individuals with a large family title will be exempt from payment, upon presentation of documentation proving their status.
Interested parties must request an appointment in advance by calling 94 472 90 79 or by going to the lobby of the Castaños building. In both cases, appointments can be requested on weekdays from 09:00 to 14:00. To carry out the procedures, it is essential to present the corresponding official documentation, which will vary depending on whether it is a first issuance, renewal, or loss. In all cases, it is essential to bring a new photograph, except in cases of loss. Minors must be accompanied by one of their parents or legal guardian, duly identified.
