Over 180 Young Dancers to Gather in Portugalete on Saturday

According to the Councilor for Culture, Estíbaliz Freije, "this activity is also a way for many children or their parents to see the potential in our city and be encouraged to learn our folklore and dances so they are not lost and the natural generational succession occurs".

This year's edition will feature five groups: Adurtza from Vitoria, Oin-Arin from Lazkao, Irrintzi from Zumarraga, Beti Jai-Alai from Bilbao, Oinatz from Oñati, and the host Berriztasuna from Portugalete. The day will kick off at 11:00 AM with a street parade through the town's streets, which will be repeated in the afternoon at 4:00 PM.
The main event will take place at 12:30 PM at La Canilla, where participants will showcase their folklore with a dance performance. In the morning, there will also be a children's play area in the market square, followed by lunch at the same venue. In the afternoon, at 4:30 PM, a traditional Basque dance gathering (romería) will conclude the day.
