The Orkestra de Euskadi has launched the third edition of its 'Abestu Euskadiko Orkestrarekin' initiative, searching for 132 anonymous and volunteer voices to join the symphonic program for the 2026-2027 season.

Following the significant success of the first two editions, the orchestra is once again inviting citizens to sing on important stages. Concerts will be held at the Baluarte Auditorium in Pamplona (November 24th), the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao (November 25th), and the Kursaal Auditorium in San Sebastián (November 26th and 27th).
Interested citizens, who must possess a minimum musical background and the ability to read sheet music, need to register on the Orkestra de Euskadi's website by June 23rd at the latest. A total of 132 voices are sought, including both past participants and newcomers.
Rehearsals will take place from September 16th to November 20th at the Miramón headquarters, with attendance at as many as possible being requested. To facilitate access for individuals from Bizkaia and Araba, the first three rehearsals will be repeated at the Juan Crisostomo Arriaga Conservatory in Bilbao.
The new repertoire will consist of three pieces: 'Coro de Románticos' from Vives's Doña Francisquita, Iparragirre's 'Hara nun diran' in Sorozabal's version, and 'O signore, dal tetto natío' from Verdi's opera I Lombardi. These performances will occupy between 10 and 15 minutes of the concerts. The 40 members of the Easo Choir will support the selected citizen choir, conducted by Gorka Miranda.

"For some of them, singing live alongside a major orchestra on important stages is perhaps a dream."
