Football teams from Bizkaia faced a mixed end to their season in the Third Federation: Derio has qualified for the promotion play-offs, while Zamudio has been relegated.

Bizkaia's football teams have experienced a season finale with mixed results in the Third Federation. Derio secured a 0-1 victory against already relegated Zarautz, earning them a spot in the promotion play-offs. Thanks to their excellent third-place finish, the team will have home-field advantage in the first round, where they will face Lagun Onak. Meanwhile, Leioa, who finished second, will compete in the other play-off tie against Touring.
In contrast, Zamudio was relegated this Saturday after a bitter defeat in Aretxabaleta. Añorga, who also lost against Real C, will occupy the drag position should the Basque representative achieve promotion in the play-off league.
Derio was superior to their opponent, although the match was not decided until the final moments. Players like Mitxel and Dani Jiménez had clear opportunities. The game was under control, and two goals by Mitxel and Julen Barrón were disallowed. The decisive goal did not arrive until the 85th minute, when Ustaritz headed in a well-placed free-kick from Julen Barrón, thus securing Derio's third-place finish.
On the other hand, Zamudio lost 3-1 at Aretxabaleta, a team with nothing left to play for. The home side started better, with Calderón having to clear a ball off the line. However, the Bizkaia team managed to score first when Calderón headed in a lateral free-kick taken by Pisón. The match then became a dangerous back-and-forth affair. Iker Núñez came close to scoring a second after a pass from Unax Rojas, but his header went high. Gorka Campos prevented an equalizer with a great save. Ultimately, two counter-attacks and a spectacular goal from the home side turned the score around in the final minutes.
