The Bilbao City Council has announced that this Friday, June 12th, there will be disruptions to vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the Iberdrola Tower due to events organized to celebrate the energy company's 125th anniversary.

In addition to the planned traffic closures, parking spaces will be temporarily removed along Abandoibarra Avenue, Avenida de las Universidades (near the La Salve Bridge), Gran Vía at number 73, Alameda Mazarredo between Plaza Euskadi and Alameda Rekalde, and Paseo Anselmo Clavé. These restrictions will remain in place until June 16th. Affected areas will be clearly signposted in advance.
Traffic restrictions will occur at different times. During the early morning, between 00:00 and 04:00, Abandoibarra Avenue, the Deusto Bridge and La Salve Bridge, Ramón Rubial street, and the Pedro Arrupe footbridge will be closed to traffic.
From 4:00 PM until midnight, closures will affect the section of Abandoibarra Avenue between Lehendakari Leizaola and Sagrado Corazón, as well as Paseo Anselmo Clavé.
The most significant disruptions will be concentrated between 8:00 PM and 11:59 PM. During this period, Abandoibarra Avenue in its entirety, Avenida de las Universidades, the Deusto Bridge and La Salve Bridge (including pedestrian access on the latter), Avenida Mazarredo from Alameda Recalde, Plaza Euskadi, Ramón Rubial street, Lehendakari Leizaola, and the Pedro Arrupe footbridge will be closed to traffic.
Furthermore, the City Council has warned that garages and parking facilities located on streets affected by the closures will be temporarily inaccessible for entry or exit while the restrictions are in effect.
The Council also indicated that Bilbobus will modify its usual routes in this area during the events. Updated information will be available through the service's mobile application and at bus stops.
