The second edition of the Here Comes The Summer Fest, a morning rock festival planned for Sunday at Bilbao's Crazy Horse venue, has been cancelled due to the forecast of an intense heatwave. Weather predictions indicate temperatures could exceed 40 degrees Celsius in the capital of Bizkaia.
The festival's lineup included the headline act, American group Je´Texas, as well as bands Los Retros and Bluebird, composed of veteran musicians from Bizkaia, and the US combo led by singer and guitarist Dylan Bishop.
The event's promoter, the Biscayan company Undercover Producciones, confirmed the suspension. "We are forced to cancel the concerts for health, responsibility, and various recommendations," they stated in a released communication. "It is not very sensible to hold a concert lasting over three hours in an enclosed venue with such temperatures," they added, indicating a preference to "err on the side of caution" and cancel the planned performances.
