The Basauri City Council has extended its 'Auzoegin' program to the Arizgoiti and Basozelai neighborhoods, encouraging citizen participation to gather improvement proposals.

The 'Auzoegin' initiative, launched in 2013, aims to promote modernization and urban regeneration actions in various parts of the Basauri municipality. In 2024, the project took a step forward by opening citizen participation processes, allowing residents to submit improvement proposals to the City Council. Following experiences in Ariz and San Miguel, the program now reaches the Arizgoiti and Basozelai neighborhoods.
Anyone over 16 years of age and registered in Basauri can submit their suggestions until May 22. To do this, they must fill out a questionnaire available on the municipal website, which will also be delivered to every home. In physical format, the document must be deposited in the ballot boxes installed in the Basozelai civic center, the Arizgoiti retiree's home, and Marienea, as well as in the municipal offices on Bidearte street, those of the Youth Service, and Citizen Services.
It is important to note that proposals should focus on minor interventions that can be carried out by the Municipal Brigade, rather than large-scale projects. This Friday, May 15, and Monday, May 18, an information stand will be set up in Zortzikoa and Arizgoiti squares, respectively, where residents can clarify their doubts related to this process.
After collecting the suggestions, the City Council will evaluate, specify, and execute the agreed actions, finally informing the residents of Basauri about the actions carried out.
