Alex Goitiandia, with his aggressive and spectacular approach, paved the way to the final of the Bilbao Iron Cup men's tournament. The player from Markina, showing great inspiration, overcame his formidable opponents Johan Sorozabal and Gorka Mugartegi 'Atain'.

Goitiandia, setting a brisk pace, dominated the front courts, while Gorka Sorozabal performed exceptionally in the back courts. The elder Sorozabal brother contained Atain's power and his outstanding backhand, playing a very clean match and dictating the rhythm with his right hand, particularly in the second game.

The player from Markina proved particularly effective with the ball's rebound, securing eight points through this strategy. He also demonstrated his prowess in the cortada and two-wall shots.

It took 312 rallies for Goitiandia and Gorka Sorozabal to earn their ticket to the final, scheduled for June 5th. They will face either Urreisti-Basque or Astelarra-Lekerika, whose match will be played on Friday.

The match began with considerable excitement, featuring five ties up to the sixth point. Although the opponents initially took the lead, Goitiandia and Gorka established a significant gap (8-14). Two shots from Atain and an error by Goitia narrowed the score (11-14), but a backhand from Gorka ultimately decided the match.

The second set followed a similar pattern until 5-5, but this time the orange-clad players made fewer errors, allowing them to extend their lead (6-14) and ultimately win convincingly by 6-15.
