Zumarraga-Urretxu 1 to compete in Aia final

The last semifinal of the Gipuzkoa Intercomarcal Bertsolaritza Championship took place in Tolosa, with the Goierri team emerging victorious.

The final semifinal of the Gipuzkoa Intercomarcal Bertsolaritza Championship was held yesterday at the Bonberenea venue in Tolosa, deciding who will play in the final at the Aia probadero (testing ground).

The Zumarraga-Urretxu 1 team from Goierri and the Txingudi 1 team from Bidasoa measured their strength for a spot in the final. The Zumarraga-Urretxu 1 team consists of bertsolaris Manex Mantxola, Mikel Iturrioz, and Antton Fernandez, supported by presenter Leire Akizu and judge Jon Mendizabal. The Txingudi 1 team was made up of bertsolaris Manu Goiogana, Igauri Lopetegi, and Jon Luzuriaga, with presenter Jon Cia and judge Aitor Errazkin.
Approximately 50 spectators gathered for an agile and beautiful session, which ultimately saw the Goierri team win. Consequently, the Zumarraga-Urretxu 1 team will face the Leintz team in the final, to be held on May 30th at the Aia probadero.
In this edition of the championship organized by the Gipuzkoa Bertsolaritza Association, 57 teams registered. Five teams from Debagoiena participated, and among them, the Leintz team (Arrasate-Eskoriatza) emerged as the best, composed of bertsolaris Haizea Arana, Oihana Arana, and Ane Zuazubiskar, presenter Olatz Zuazubiskar, and judge Larraitz Trojaola.
The Leintz team had previously defeated the Xarmaginak team from Eibar in Soraluzeko, and finally secured their place in the final in Oñati by overcoming the Zaharrak Berri team from Azpeitia.
