The mountain march will take place on May 31st, with starts scheduled between 07:00 and 07:30 AM. Participants will face a 30-kilometer route with an accumulated elevation gain of 1,800 meters. The itinerary includes passing through significant peaks such as Izazpi (973 meters), Pagotxeta (750 meters), Samiño (927 meters), Oñamendi (832 meters), Aizpurutxo (220 meters), Trekutz (700 meters), and Irimo (903 meters), before returning to the starting point.
According to the organizers, registration is already open. In-person registration is available at the Ostadar mountain club and at the Ispilla sports centers in Zumarraga, Aldiri in Urretxu, and Bikuña in Legazpi. Starting next Monday, online registration will also be possible through the official website of the Iñaki Beitia Mountain March. In both cases, the registration deadline is May 29th, and the participation fee is 10 euros.
The organization has encouraged citizens to register in advance at the sports centers to avoid potential queues on the day of the march when collecting their participation cards. This measure is expected to streamline the process and enhance the participants' experience.
“"This way, less plastic and waste will be generated, and we will contribute to better caring for nature."
Furthermore, the organizers have requested participants to bring their own cups to the mountain march. This initiative aims to reduce plastic and waste generation, contributing to environmental protection and promoting the event's sustainability.
