Jaione Gurrutxaga celebrated yesterday the anniversary of the bar that her parents, Migel and Begoña, opened 65 years ago. This emblematic establishment in Legazpi, inaugurated on April 29, 1961, has remained under the same family's ownership since its inception and will continue to do so in the future.
Yesterday's celebration saw a significant turnout, with the attendance of the entire family, current and former employees, friends, customers, and nearly everyone from Legazpi. An exceptional atmosphere was created around the bar.
The festivities included various events: giants and dulzainero musicians, the traditional larrain dantza dance performed by dancers, bertsolaris (improvised poets), songs, and a performance by a group of young musicians.
The response from yesterday's festivities has given Jaione, the current manager, strength for many years to come.
The atmosphere created by everyone present made the celebration around the Gurrutxaga bar unforgettable.
