This gathering, organized by Aurtzaka Dantza Taldea, transformed the municipality into a meeting point for young dantzaris from various parts of Gipuzkoa. The day was characterized by an excellent atmosphere and favorable weather conditions that lasted throughout.
From early morning, the participating groups began to arrive, filling the area around Dolarea park with color. In total, ten groups took part: Ostadar from Beasain, Oin Arin from Lazkao, Otsoak from Ataun, Goruntz from Gabiria, Lurra from Urretxu, Amets Bide from Ordizia, Ereintza from Orereta, Txori Txiki from Zumaia, Iztueta from Zaldibia, and the host, Aurtzaka Taldea.
At 10:45 AM, all the dantzaris gathered in Dolarea, where a festive and family-friendly atmosphere was already palpable. The sun and pleasant temperatures encouraged hundreds of parents, relatives, and neighbors to accompany the youngsters throughout the morning, closely following each performance and filling the town's streets with spectators.
Shortly after, the kalejira (street parade) began, winding through different parts of Beasain until it concluded in San Martín square. Along the route, the groups performed various traditional dances to the rhythm of popular Basque music, drawing the attention and applause of those who came to enjoy the ambiance. The central streets were adorned with traditional costumes, handkerchiefs, txistus, and drum sounds, offering a scene deeply connected to Basque cultural identity.
One of the morning's highlights took place precisely in San Martín square, where the different groups offered joint performances and exhibitions to a large audience. The youngest participants once again became the absolute protagonists of a day that highlighted the work done throughout the year by dance groups to keep the tradition alive among new generations.
Beyond the cultural aspect, the gathering also served as a space for coexistence between municipalities and dance groups, strengthening bonds among young dantzaris who share a passion for tradition. Many families also took advantage of the day to stay in Beasain, contributing to the festive atmosphere experienced in various parts of the municipality.
The program continued in the afternoon with a dantzaldi (dance session) led by the Eingo group, which managed to gather many dantzaris, families, and neighbors in the covered fronton of Navarra Avenue, creating a unique atmosphere. The venue presented a magnificent ambiance throughout the afternoon, bringing a fitting close to a day that once again demonstrated the strength of traditional Basque dance and the important role local groups play in its transmission and dissemination.
