The municipalities of Urretxu and Zumarraga will hold the final session of the participatory process AROA tomorrow at the Zelai Arizti cultural center in Zumarraga, to finalize the Basque Language Strategic Plan until 2035.

The municipalities of Urretxu and Zumarraga, with the collaboration of Elhuyar, have launched the participatory process named AROA, aiming to design the Basque Language Strategic Plan until 2035. Through this plan, they intend to strengthen both towns as Basque-speaking communities, making citizen opinion and participation essential.
In the initial phase of the process, the vision, needs, motivations, concerns, and desires regarding the status of the Basque language in the community were gathered. Subsequently, in the first participatory meeting, the main challenges for the plan in the coming years were identified.
Now, the final session remains to define the key actions for the identified challenges in the field of the Basque language. Therefore, the municipalities wish to invite citizens and stakeholders to participate.
The meeting will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, at 6:00 PM, at the Zelai Arizti cultural center in Zumarraga.
