Residents of Andoain have filed nearly 3,000 objections with the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council to express their opposition to the N-1 highway connection project in the municipality.

The submission, led by the Errespetatu Andoain platform, took place at the provincial headquarters in Donostia. This initiative follows the formal objections presented by the Andoain City Council, highlighting a unified stance against the proposed infrastructure plan.
Organizers noted that the current count is not final, as objections submitted electronically and from other parts of Gipuzkoa are still being processed. The platform has called on the provincial authorities to act responsibly and provide a suitable solution in light of the significant public turnout.
The project has sparked significant debate in Andoain, dominating recent municipal plenary sessions. The community is now awaiting the response from the Provincial Council regarding the handling of these objections and the future of the project.
