Lithuanian player Jonas Paukste has been recently signed by the basketball club Askatuak Gipuzkoa for the 2026-2027 season. With this acquisition, Paukste will become the tallest player in the club's history.
The 25-year-old center joins the team at a height of 2.24 meters. The club stated, "However, we are confident that your legacy will extend far beyond that statistic: Through your work and performance, you will be an important piece within the team."
Paukste has prior experience in the Basque Country, having previously played in the lower divisions of Baskonia. His most recent seasons were spent with Zámora in the First and Second FEB leagues.
