Gipuzkoa Hoteliers Discuss Sector's Situation and Award Real Sociedad

The Gipuzkoa Hotels association convened its annual assembly, bringing together most of the territory's accommodation businesses to discuss the current state of the sector and future challenges.

The regular assembly of the Gipuzkoa Hotels association took place, gathering most of the territory's accommodation businesses. The event was held in the spacious hall of the Maria Cristina hotel in San Sebastián. During the first part of the day, members analyzed sector data, its current situation, and the management efforts made.
Raúl Fernández, president of Hoteles de Gipuzkoa and director of the Arbaso hotel, opened the proceedings. The session was moderated by Virginia Elvira, head of the sectoral area at Adegi. The institutional opening was delivered by Azahara Domínguez, the provincial deputy for Mobility, Tourism, and Territorial Planning.
Following this, a round table discussion was held featuring César Ballesteros, president of Feprotur and secretary of the Galician Tourism Cluster. Participants also included Fede Fuster, president of Hosbec, and Nacho Calvo, general secretary of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism of Navarra.
After the round table, the XII edition of the Gipuzkoa Hotels Award was presented. This year, the award went to the club Real Sociedad and was accepted by its president Jokin Aperribay. The institutional closing was handled by Isabel Busto, president of Adegi. Also attending from Adegi were its general director José Miguel Ayerza and deputy general director Paul Liceaga. City council members Olatz Yarza, Juan Karlos Izagirre, and Markel Ormazabal were also present.
