The donor completed priestly studies at the Vitoria Seminary and later went to Ecuador as a missionary. Upon his return, he taught philosophy at the Ikasbidea ikastola and studied organ at the Jesús Guridi music conservatory. This training allowed him to serve as the principal organist at Santa María Cathedral and San Pedro church.
His research work in the field of music is also noteworthy, as he undertook extensive work in collecting, inventorying, and digitizing documentation. Thanks to this work, in 2024, the new Archive of Musical Heritage of the Diocese of Vitoria was inaugurated.
The organ was located at the donor's home, where he carried out his research. This academic year, the instrument has been disassembled, transported, assembled, and tuned for installation in what will be the school's ancient music room. Thanks to this donation, organ classes will be offered starting next academic year.
