Amorebieta-Etxano will experience traffic diversions and restrictions from August 10 to 18 due to urbanization works on Carmen street, also impacting San Miguel and San Pedro streets.

The Amorebieta-Etxano City Council has announced temporary traffic changes and restrictions due to urbanization works on Carmen street. These modifications will be in effect from August 10 to 18 and will also affect San Miguel and San Pedro streets.
According to the plan, from August 10 to 14 and on August 17 and 18, vehicles will be allowed to pass alternately on San Miguel and San Pedro streets, first in one direction and then the opposite. Additionally, on August 10 and 11, from 08:00 to 18:00, the access from San Pedro street to Luis Urrengoetxea street will be closed. During these periods, access to local garages will be from Ixerreta.
From 08:00 on August 13 to 18:00 on August 14, access from Carmen street to Convenio street will be closed. Residents of Gregorio Mendibil and Convenio streets will access their garages via Gregorio Mendibil street from San Juan street, and local traffic will be reorganized accordingly. During this time, entry to Carmen street from the Enartze roundabout will be prohibited, except for local residents. Similarly, access from Larrea to Luis Urrengoetxea street will be limited to residents and garage access, with a mandatory turn towards Ixerreta.
The council reminds that the plan may be subject to changes due to weather conditions. They express gratitude to the residents of Amorebieta-Etxano for their understanding regarding the inconveniences these temporary changes may cause.
These works are part of the Karmen 2.0 project, aiming to transform this area of Amorebieta-Etxano's center into a more accessible, sustainable environment focused on people's well-being. The transformation of Carmen street will improve pedestrian mobility, strengthen the connection between Zelaieta Park, El Carmelo Park, and the Town Square, and advance towards a greener, safer, and more pleasant center.
