Eleizetan cycle to feature six concerts in Amorebieta-Etxano's churches and hermitages

The municipality of Amorebieta-Etxano will once again resonate with classical and folk music from September 5th to 20th, thanks to the Eleizetan cycle.

The municipality of Amorebieta-Etxano will once again resonate with classical and folk music from September 5th to 20th, thanks to the Eleizetan cycle. The 2026 edition will present six concerts held in various churches and hermitages that form part of the local heritage. This cycle, organized since 2002, aims not only to offer musical enjoyment but also to promote the discovery of the municipality's monumental legacy.
This year, the concerts will take place at the Andra Mari church in Etxano and in the hermitages located in the neighborhoods of Boroa, Dudea, Garaitondo, and Bernagoitia. The program will commence on September 5th with a performance by Espliego Folk at the Andra Mari church in Etxano. This will be followed by Irati Bilbao at the San Pedro hermitage in Boroa on September 6th.
During the second weekend, Aitor Huergo will be the featured artist at the San Miguel hermitage in Dudea on September 12th. The following day, September 13th, the ensemble Haria Laukotea (Musikene) will perform at the San Isidro hermitage in Garaitondo. To conclude the cycle, Jou González and Marta Cara will perform at the San Miguel church in Bernagoitia on September 19th, and AMCB (Bilbao Chamber Choir and Orchestra) will be the final act on Sunday, September 20th, at the Andra Mari church in Etxano.
To facilitate attendance at the concerts, the Eleizetan cycle will provide a complimentary bus service. All buses will depart from San Migel street (Health Center), adhering to specific schedules set prior to each event.
