Elkano neighborhood to celebrate San Pedro festivities starting tomorrow

The Elkano neighborhood will kick off its San Pedro festivities tomorrow, June 28th, which will run until July 5th. The celebrations will begin tomorrow at 20:00 with the firing of the 'txupinazo' (firecracker) and the ringing of bells. The program includes barbecues, tortilla competitions, sports events, and traditional Basque music performances ('romerías').
On Monday, the eve of San Pedro's Day, a potato tortilla competition will take place, accompanied by the music of trikitilaris Izer eta Alabier. At midday, a communal paella meal is organized; tickets will be on sale on June 21st at the neighborhood's association center, from 11:00 to 13:00. The adult menu costs 23 euros, and the children's menu, 10 euros.
On Friday, July 3rd, a barbecue will be held at the 'frontón' (jai alai court), followed by a set by DJ Indate. On Saturday, there will be a neighborhood dinner; tickets can be purchased on June 21st and 28th at the association center, from 11:00 to 13:00, and on other days at the Gazteategi bar. The adult menu costs 30 euros, and the children's menu, 15 euros.
The festivities will conclude on July 5th with sports competitions and a 'romería'. The program also features the final of the Gipuzkoa Second Division Wood Choppers (Aizkolaris) and handball matches in the afternoon.
