In observance of the Madalenak 2026 festival, the Errenteria City Council has implemented several practical measures to ensure citizen convenience and safety. Traffic will undergo changes, and certain services will be adjusted to accommodate the festive program.
Key traffic closures include the closure of Touring Avenue for the installation of fairground attractions until July 27th. The city center and Navarra Avenue will be closed from July 21st starting at 06:30 AM, reopening after cleaning on July 26th.
Regarding urban transport, the Xenpelar and Morrongilleta bus stops will be relocated to the Tulle Street stop from 7:00 AM on July 21st to 7:30 AM on July 26th. The Niessen, Alameda, Gabierrota, and Fanderia stops will be suspended during this period. The stop at Lartzabal auzoa, 19 will also be suspended from the 16th to the 28th due to the closure of Touring.
For interurban transport, several Lurraldebus lines (E02, E04, E20, E26, E27, E72, and E77) will travel directly from the Galizia roundabout to Lartzabal and vice versa, due to the closure of Navarra Avenue from July 21st (07:30 AM) to July 26th (1:00 PM). This will result in the suspension of the Zumardia, Gabierrota, and Lartzabal stops in both directions.
The night bus service will be reinforced to reach all neighborhoods. Garage users will be able to enter and exit as usual, and for any inquiries, the Local Police can be contacted. Taxis will maintain their usual stop at Navarra Avenue, number 69b, and an additional stop will be set up during the festivities near the Santa Clara roundabout.
The TAO (regulated parking) service will be suspended from July 21st to 26th. The Merkatzarra parking lot will be closed from July 18th to 25th, except for plaza owners. Alternative parking will be available at the Tellerialde school, Arramendi Park, and the sports court parking behind the Euskaltegi, with extended hours.
For loading and unloading, areas closed to traffic will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There may be temporary traffic disruptions due to scheduled events (fireworks, parades, drum parades), with efforts to minimize impact. The vehicle route through Papresa to Navarra Avenue will also be closed during the festivities, and pedestrians will not be allowed access through this route from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Finally, from July 20th to 25th, all elevators in the town will be operational at night as well, facilitating 24-hour mobility. Public restrooms will also be open 24 hours.
