Citizens of Urnieta will have a new opportunity to renew or obtain their National Identity Document (DNI) and passport for the first time without leaving the municipality.

The National Police's mobile office will return to the town on July 15th, operating in Plaza San Juan from 8:30 AM to 2:15 PM. This initiative is part of the itinerant service launched by the National Police to bring administration closer to citizens and facilitate common procedures, avoiding travel to offices in other municipalities.
A specially adapted van equipped with the necessary technology will offer services in Urnieta identical to a fixed document issuance office, allowing for quick and convenient renewal or initial application for both the DNI and passport. Payments can be made in cash or by bank card.

This type of service is generally well-received in municipalities, particularly by individuals who have difficulty traveling or prefer to complete administrative tasks in their own locality.

The cost for DNI issuance or renewal will be 12 euros, while the passport will cost 30 euros. Interested individuals must book an appointment in advance at the Bertan office of the Urnieta Town Hall.
