The 53rd Usurbil Pelota Championship and Herriarteko tournament begin

This weekend features the first adult-level matches in Usurbil and the start of the inter-municipal competition.

The 53rd Usurbil Pelota Championship holds its first adult-level matches this Friday and Saturday, while the Gipuzkoa Herriarteko tournament kicks off this Sunday in Eibar.

Following the start of the competition for younger categories last Wednesday, the Usurbil Pelota Championship now moves to the adult stage. The matches scheduled for May 15th and 16th will lead into the round of 16 at the end of the month.
Additionally, the town is participating once again in the Gipuzkoa Herriarteko tournament. The first match will take place this Sunday, May 17th, at the Astelena fronton in Eibar. The return leg is scheduled for next week in Usurbil.

"We want to call on people to come and cheer, so that we can bring back a good result from the first leg."

Regarding the GRABNI tournament, the Gipuzkoa Pelota Federation reported that the Gipuzkoa team finished third in the left-wall category and fourth in trinquete. Several local athletes participated in this competition across different disciplines.
