Bergara Town Hall has opened a call for applications for stalls at the San Martín Fair and for the operation of the blood sausage tasting stand. The fair's objective is to introduce local agricultural and food producers, value their work and product quality, and showcase the region's diverse production.
Within the fair, there will be competitions for vegetables, fruits, and cheeses. Participants will receive priority in securing a stall. The council has specified that the prize money will be distributed equitably to recognize the efforts of all producers, although there will be no monetary prizes. The competition will proceed, and a Garai award will be presented.
It has also been announced that the diets of vegetable and fruit producers will be accommodated. The application period will be open from June 24 to July 9, 2026, via the Bergara Town Hall website. Along with the application, necessary documentation must be submitted, including identification documents, proof of economic activity, and documents verifying compliance with health and hygiene conditions.
Priority in participation will be given to producers from Bergara and Debagoiena, as well as those working with local products or organic production.
The municipality, as it does annually, will award the operation of the blood sausage tasting stand. Here, blood sausages donated by Bergara butchers will be offered, and simultaneously, non-profit associations from the town will have the opportunity to generate income.
The stand will operate on September 12, selling blood sausage pintxos for a maximum of 3 euros (with drink) or 1.5 euros (without drink). Local non-profit associations can submit their applications until July 9, 2026, through the website www.bergara.eus.
