In observance of European Mobility Week, ORBEA has provided five electric bicycles for the use of staff at the Faculty of Humanities and Education of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. This initiative will last for one week, aiming to encourage faculty employees to commute between their homes and the campus in a sustainable and healthy manner.
Faculty staff have had the chance to use the electric bikes for a full day to travel from home to work, utilizing the network of bidegorris (cycle paths) in Debagoiena.
This initiative, promoted by the European Commission, aims to achieve various objectives. Specifically, it seeks to encourage clean and active transport, reduce private car usage, enhance quality of life and health, and reclaim public space.
