In Oñati, 36 shop windows have been converted into open-air art galleries, displaying works by local artists until May 21st.

The shop windows of 36 commercial establishments in Oñati have been transformed into small open-air art galleries, thanks to the collaboration between the local painting group and the town's merchants. Until May 21st, visitors can enjoy a diverse and accessible exhibition while strolling through the streets.
In this display, 28 students from the municipal workshop showcase their works, reflecting their artistic evolution and personal styles. The creations range from landscapes and urban scenes to portraits, flowers, and emblematic corners of Oñati, with each artist contributing their unique perspective and universe.
This initiative not only brings art closer to the daily lives of residents and visitors but also adds a special appeal to local commercial activity, integrating plastic creation into the town's routine. It is a particularly intimate and visual exhibition, where the paintings created by the students of the municipal painting workshop can be admired by passersby and customers during their daily shopping or walks.
In this way, art integrates into local urban life, breaking the traditional barriers of exhibition halls and offering a spontaneous, open, and unscheduled aesthetic experience. The exhibition is the result of close collaboration between the Oñati Painting Group (Oñatiko Margo Taldea) and the participating establishments, a joint effort aimed at making visible the talent and artistic work developed in the municipality and, at the same time, revitalizing and enriching the offerings of the downtown businesses.
