Arrasate Rugby Taldea Senior Teams Face Decisive Weekend in Elorrio

Both the women's and men's senior teams will play crucial knockout matches in Elorrio, aiming to achieve their season goals.

Both senior teams of Arrasate Rugby Taldea are set for a decisive weekend in Elorrio, where they will play crucial matches to achieve their season objectives.

The women's team will face Durango at 16:00 in the first knockout round of the final phase. Afterwards, at 18:00, the men's team will play the return leg of the promotion phase semifinals against league champions Elorrio, aiming to overturn last weekend's defeat in Mojategi.
The men's team lost 18-35 in the first leg against Elorrio. The Arrasate team will need to reverse this result if they want to secure a ticket to the grand final scheduled for the end of this month. In the other semifinal, Uni Bilbo won 19-24 in Fadura.
The women's senior team also has a crucial fixture. The Geurea RT team, comprising Urgozo and Elorrio, finished the regular season in second place and will face sixth-placed Durango in the first knockout round. This tie will be played as a single match, and if they win, they will compete in the semifinal next weekend against the winner of the match between Gipuzkoa Sortzen and La Unica.
The grand final is scheduled for the last weekend of May, where the semifinal winner will face the league's strongest team, Gaztedi. The Vitoria team has won 13 of their 14 league matches, accumulating a total of 62 points.
Furthermore, there will be no other category fixtures this weekend, but on Saturday, from 17:00, a special match will be played in Mojategi. The veterans of Arrasate Rugby Taldea will remember Miguel Angel Arana, who passed away a few weeks ago, as part of the San Isidro festivities in the Musakola neighborhood. The Herensugeak will play a “very special and emotional” friendly match.
