Once again this year, the Bergara Town Hall is announcing the 'Bergara Bizi' voucher program. This aid is intended for families with students aged between 3 and 18 who meet the established requirements, aiming to assist with expenses related to school materials. The application period for these vouchers will run from October 1st to 20th and will be processed at the municipal B@Z service center.
The amount of the aid will be determined by the student's age. A voucher of 100 euros will be provided for each child born between 2014 and 2023. For young people born between 2008 and 2013, the voucher will be for 150 euros.
The vouchers must be used in shops within Bergara for the purchase of school materials for children and young people. Items eligible include, but are not limited to, clothing and footwear, sports equipment, dictionaries, backpacks, pencil cases, computer equipment, glasses, and contact lenses. The final date for using the vouchers is set for December 31st, 2026.
To be eligible for the 'Bergara Bizi' vouchers, families must meet several conditions. They must be beneficiaries of the Basque Government's Income Guarantee Benefit (RGI), Social Emergency Aid (AES), or Minimum Living Income. Additionally, at least one parent of the student receiving the aid must have been registered in Bergara continuously for the last six months.
Families must have individuals between 3 and 18 years old in their care, meaning those born between 2008 and 2023. For those who have passed the compulsory schooling age (born in 2008, 2009, and 2010), they will need to prove they are still studying by presenting a certificate of enrollment. Furthermore, it is essential not to have any outstanding debts with the Bergara Town Hall to be eligible for the vouchers.
Applications must be submitted at the B@Z Service Center of the Bergara Town Hall, located on the ground floor of the town hall, by completing the relevant application form. The B@Z service hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00; on Thursdays, from 07:30 to 15:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00. It is recommended to book an appointment in advance via the website hitzordua.bergara.eus or by calling 010 (or 943 779 100 from outside Bergara).
The deadline for spending the vouchers will be December 31st, 2026, and the period for submitting justification of expenses will end on January 15th, 2027.
