In light of the eclipse occurring on August 12th, the Arrasate City Council and the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council will implement several measures in the Landa neighborhoods to ensure public safety and facilitate traffic management throughout the day.
Two measures are particularly noteworthy. Firstly, access to the Bedoña neighborhood by car will be restricted due to ongoing road widening works. As machinery occupies parking space, the road is unavailable for vehicles.
Secondly, once the neighborhood's parking area is full, car access to Landa will be prohibited. The road will be closed, and access will only be permitted on foot. In response, the City Council will strengthen the bus service.
Municipal officials have requested that residents in these neighborhoods plan their journeys in advance. "The City Council appreciates the public's understanding and cooperation regarding these restrictions, which are necessary to ensure safety and the proper development of the event," they stated in a press release.
